Derek Horne is CEO of Horne & Associates, having founded the company in 1992. Derek has unrivalled experience in this sector having held positions that include MD of Covell Mathews Wheatly Planning, a nation-wide planning and architectural practice, and prior to that as Chief Planning Officer at Guildford Borough Council. Horne & Associates (H&A) is a town and country planning practice, offering a full range of services including planning application submissions, planning appeals and real estate development advice. We work closely with a wide range of professionals with experience in other aspects and project manage development schemes which are tailored to the individual needs and budget of our client.

Oliver is a highly practiced and professionally accredited town planner having built up 20+ years of planning and real estate development experience acquired in both public and private sectors. During his career Oliver has held senior Local Government positions employed by Local Planning Authorities in both urban and rural settings. His previous appointments include the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, Mole Valley District Council, Guildford Borough Council and Walsall City Council. After transitioning into the private sector, Oliver was appointed as Planning & Development Manager and advisor to the Executive Chairman of Affinity Global Real Estate where he was also appointed as a Director for Regenerate London plc. With his broad ranging experience covering planning enforcement, policy and development management, Olivers appointment as MD of Horne & Associates ensures continuity of the company’s long-standing expertise and values while driving the business forward with renewed energy and a progressive commercially focussed approach. Oliver is a Chartered member or the Royal Town Planning Institute, holds a Masters Degree in Planning Policy and Practice and has an honorary Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate Management.

Denise is the Financial Director and has a substantial financial background spanning over 30 years. She and Derek set up the company in 1992 and Denise oversees all the financial operations and business management. Denise handles client relations utilising her wealth of experience gained from 25 years of organising private and commercial events which have included attendance by members of our Royal family and President Clinton. Denise was National Chairman of The Lady Taverners from 2008 to 2009 and the first lady Trustee of The Lord’s Taverners. She is also a Dame Chevalier of Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne.

As our Operations & Systems Manager, Kat develops and maintains internal systems, templates and digital resources that keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Kat focuses on improving internal processes, organising operational information and designing practical templates and tools that help the team capture and present information clearly and efficiently.
