Prior to our appointment, a proposed change of use of a single-storey residential outbuilding to use as an independent bungalow had been refused planning permission and dismissed at appeal. Horne & Associates were employed to seek to find a solution to enable an amended proposal to achieve planning permission. H&A amended the proposed design to create a larger 2-storey home and a comprehensive portfolio of supporting comparable evidence was assembled.
Following receipt an anticipated refusal of planning permission, Horne & Associates successfully appealed against the decision. At appeal the Inspector agreed with evidence presented by Oliver Horne which demonstrated no harm would be caused to neighbouring amenity and the design was in keeping with the established character of the area.
