A proposed backland development of 3 dwellings had been approved at the end of a cul-de-sac near Kingston-Upon Thames. Subsequently, the High Court instructed the Council to re-consult the public in respect of the proposal following a successful legal challenge on the basis that public consultation had not been correctly undertaken.

H&A were then appointed to formulate detailed objections to the proposal on behalf of the local residents association and were successful in persuading the planning committee to refuse planning permission against the Planning Officer’s recommendation. We were again employed to submit objections to a planning appeal contesting the refusal and our objections were upheld by the Inspector who dismissed the appeal.
