A proposed backland development of 3 dwellings had been approved at the end of a cul-de-sac near Kingston-Upon Thames. Subsequently, the High Court instructed the Council to re-consult the public in respect of the proposal following a successful legal challenge on the basis that public consultation had not been correctly undertaken.

H&A were then appointed to formulate detailed objections to the proposal on behalf of the local residents association and were successful in persuading the planning committee to refuse planning permission against the Planning Officer’s recommendation. We were again employed to submit objections to a planning appeal contesting the refusal and our objections were upheld by the Inspector who dismissed the appeal.
"Our experience with H&A was absolutely fantastic. We had a belligerent neighbour who obtained an outrageous planning consent for 3no terrace houses in their back garden.
We appointed H&A to provide an Objection Statement on behalf of the 14 affected residents. The Planning application was refused at committee level but the applicant appealed hence we approached H&A again for another statement for the Appeals inspectorate. Gladly, the appeal was vehemently dismissed in a relatively short period of time. H&A's personable and supportive approach was exemplary, they were always available on the phone to answer any queries and always responded promptly to any written correspondence.
As an Architect with circa 30 years experience, I have worked with numerous Planning consultants hence I am familiar with the standard quality of service. However, H&A 'raised the bar' hence we would definitely recommend them to others."
